About Jeremy Forester

Jeremy Forester, a musician and songwriter from the Sunshine Coast, BC, Canada, brings a unique blend of soulful melodies, striking guitar and introspective lyrics to his music. His thoughtful songs, blend elements of folk, rock, and Americana into a distinctive yet familiar sound. With a passion for storytelling and dynamic writing, Jeremy's music explores themes of change, personal growth, dismantling systemic inequality, deprogramming indoctrinated beliefs, self determination, discovery,  and empowerment. Forester brings a subtle intensity to his performances that captivates listeners and live audiences alike. Reveling in the opportunity to play lead guitar, Jeremy also makes frequent appearances accompanying his talented partner and fellow songwriter, Rebecca Lorna. Often drawing on the natural beauty of his coastal surroundings for inspiration, Jeremy spends his free time hiking, camping, or otherwise exploring nature. He is currently recording his first album, but in the meantime, Jeremy will be releasing a series of videos and recordings on Youtube and Bandcamp featuring a collection his tunes and that of his favourite artists.

"The Forest. My sanctuary, my safe space.  It is where I find endless calm and my mind is most clear. Within the canopy life can be statue still or euphonious chaos.  The witnessable diversity in even the smallest patch of woods holds enough wisdom to occupy a lifetime. It is where I am most grounded. The emerald illumination of the late summer sun dashing green through leaves, a tiny pool of water collecting on top of a mushroom, a giant hemlock swaying in the breeze, never falling, these are secret fleeting moments of magic held by mother nature and the lucky observer who takes time to notice. The one human made thing that has ever brought me this level of understanding, awe, and peace is music. The ability to communicate such intangible concepts through a seeminglly equally intagible medium is nothing short of magic. This is what I endeavor to achieve with my songs. I write to process, to understand and to appreciate our short time on this reckless, chaotic, dangerous, beautiful, nurturing spinning ball.

Your friend in music and nature,

Jeremy Forester."
